Frequently Asked Questions
Does HouseFacts schedule my maintenance for me on its own?
No. HouseFacts suggests tasks under Recommended Maintenance and shows the reasoning behind each one, but you decide. Accept a task and it moves onto your Home Plan; dismiss it and it goes away. Nothing gets added to your calendar without your say so.
Will it tell me if an appliance is still under warranty?
Warranty status shows up when you add it. HouseFacts can suggest a task to register a warranty you mention in a document, but it does not know your coverage on its own.
How does the plan actually get built?
When you forward or upload a document, HouseFacts sorts it, summarizes it, and drafts candidate tasks grounded in what that document says. A second pass reviews the draft list and drops weak or duplicate items, and checks it against what your home already has on file before anything reaches you.
What if I have more than one property?
Each property gets its own Home Plan and its own Recommended Maintenance list, so tasks and reminders never mix between homes.
What can an inspection report do for my plan?
An inspection report is the biggest single source. Upload the report from closing day and it becomes a reviewable set of appliances, contacts, notes, and a maintenance schedule, with those schedule items ready to accept onto your Home Plan.
